We’re writers, reporters, interviewers, photographers, artists, and 6th graders at West New York’s Public School #1, Home of the Bulls.
Together, we choose topics important to our school and community, we research current events in the wider world, we create art and activities for our fellow students, and we give a voice to our small corner of New Jersey.

1st-3rd Grade:
Is this a sunrise or a sunset?
Are we in a park or on a street? Tell a story about friends meeting in this place.
Teachers, please leave any student submissions in Ms. Coll’s mailbox.
Last day to submit is May 3rd! First and second place winners will have their story published in the final issue of the BullPen. The HR with the most submissions wins a Dress Down Day!
4th-6th Grade:
Write a one-page story that takes place on a bridge overlooking a city.
